I really loathed that 1999 ITV News look by the end of it's life, my god it lasted 5 years.
All that wood, the deserted newsroom backdrop and that horrible row of monitors behind the presenter, when everyone else had all gone chrome & glass (& plastic).

Spotted a tweet from ITV employee saying the re-brand will indeed go live at 6am.
So presumably 6am Monday then for the first glimpse of new look presentation on ITV, 2, 3 & 4 or will ITV wait until 9.25am ? Hopefully the various pres sites have enough facilities / resources at their disposal to catch the first glimpse of each shortly after the event.
Wonder if the first look at ITV News will be in the This Morning summary or at 1.30pm, now that we don't have the Morning News anymore.

Sky+HD as well as 3 SD DTT PC Tuners, 1 HD DTT PC Tuner, 1 DVB S/2 Tuner and 1 SD DTT Laptop tuner, all able to record multiple multiplexes.
Might get some of it, with the only issue me being at work from 7am so missing all of it!

It was worth doing a preview in 1999 because there were significant changes ahead, more than just a change of set and music - the ITN brand was being phased out and News at Ten was being moved. With the 2004 rebrand, the news was being moved again but new studio technology was being introduced, necessitating yet another preview to show off their brand new Theatre of News.
We didn't have a preview in 2006 and I'm sure the same will apply here - after all, I don't believe there are any major changes coming to the news, just a refreshed image (titles, studio, graphics etc). No preview necessary, IMO! We'll probably see the new (national) news unveiled with the 11:25am summary.
If I remember rightly, in 1999, when they ditched News at Ten and moved the Evening News to 6.30, we got a glimpse of the new look, in fact here it is

Then in 2004, there was this

And I'm sure that in 2009, there were press reports about that rebrand, with a screenshot of Mark and Julie and the new set.
I wonder if we'll get a preview tomorrow or over the weekend? Or maybe we'll just have to wait until Monday

I remember initially liking the refreshing burst of warm colours after four straight years of the (nonetheless fantastic) blue-atrium era... but you're right, it looks absolutely dated and horrid now. At least the 1995 look had the actual ITV newsroom behind the set - the 1999 was just a set of printed images, and AFAIK it wasn't even the ITV newsroom, they were specially designed images. The 2003 "stopgap" approach wasn't much better either, where they injected yellow into all the graphics and extended the headlines.
With the ITV rebrand, I'm eagerly awaiting particular aspects like trailer endboards, end credits, etc... will be a busy day for those who are recording the events for the web!

Obviously makes sense for ITV2/3/4/CITV to relaunch at 6am rather than mid-morning. Do ITV1 show an ident before Daybreak or not - I guess it'll just be glimpses of the break bumpers and trailers through to 9.25am, with perhaps a look at the regional news if that as expect adopts some ITV News branding - though I wouldn't be surprised if those with new sets are still in CSO in the morning and don't launch their new set until the afternoon or 6pm bulletin.

Isn't there normally an ITV(1)HD ident just before Daybreak at 6am?

I've got some 'essential maintenance' on the computer which has had to be pencilled in for Monday, so you can rule me out of the action for a chunk of the day... That's timing for you! Of course, I'll still be watching it on a telly
If I really like any of it, I'm sure I'll record a few bits.
At the time of the previous ITV channel rebrands, my verdict was that ITV3 seemed like the best overall look of the main four. I have a feeling I might be saying the same this time around...

A wise decision. I hear Andrew Haydn Smith will be announcing on ITV, a promotion from ITV2 and 4.

So not just a new look from Monday but on ITV a brand new sound with a new announcing team - Gina Mellotte has already left and Mark Manchester has his last shift tomorrow. Only 2 of the current team are staying.
