Perhaps, perhaps not. A Meridian staffer on Twitter (I forget the name) says they'll be using a CSO set as of Friday 6pm's bulletin - and that there'll be a busy weekend getting the new set in place.

Yes it's the name of the internal staff initiative, very similar to something the BBC did a few years back, and it's staying (with a new logo, obviously).
So basically the regions that are not getting a new set right away are getting theirs re-lit until they get round to doing the new set?
Should they not just leave the studios that are not getting done straight away, until they get new sets?
I may sound a little stupid here but dose anyone know whether the new regional studios will have desks or sofas and coffee tables?
I'm guessing the big rear projects screens will be part of the new regional news sets, as it seems these changes are going to happen quite quickly compared with previous set changes.
The current weather maps are older then the outgoing logo! In 2006, all they did was change the typeface, update the logo, and remove the regional names. So I agree, they NEED to be updated. The BBC weather maps introduced a few months after ITV's in 2005 put them to shame.
