The lunchtime Anglia News bulletin just started with the presenter saying "Good afternoon, first this lunchtime from ITV News in the Anglia region..."

I wouldn't read much into it. They tend to say 'Good evening now the latest news from ITV Granada' on Granada News, leading to suggestions in the past that they were renaming, whereas on Calendar News it's always something more adlibbed.

Depends how corporate/formal the person writing the standard intro on the autocue I'd expect.

The only region I consider to be consistent with naming is London whereas others tend to use differing preferences to what the bulletin(s) are called.

Well they have "London Today" and "London Tonight" so they arent consistent really.

Since the corporate logo and the main channel's logo will now be the same, I guess the regional one will be as well.

Why on earth were ITV1 Wales airing a promo with Come On England on it? Confused

It was a break bumper, which get Wales-branded. I think it's what they call these days: "#fail".

More twitter changes, @ITV1 has become @ITV and the @ITVInsider feed is closing.

About time they used the shortest username as their main account, although strange they didn't change @ITVinsider to @ITV as it has the largest and most active follower base.

They've closed a number of their careers feeds as well and are focusing on one central ITV Careers feed. Given all these changes I wonder if we should expect a greater Twitter push on TV. ITV haven't really embraced it on screen as much as the others have (which really isn't a bad thing).

...of course the biggest part of this rebrand happens on April the 1st when to save money and any confusion ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 get re-named "ITV". There again, maybe the future holds the larger picture of closing the other three channels and ploughing money and better programming into one "ITV" Exclamation

ITV Careers just requested to follow me, even though I wasn't following them already...hmm!

Must be a mix up. Surely.

@itvweather tweeted "Thank you all for your patience. We will be tweeting regularly in the New Year." I'd rather see this feed than the presenters address onscreen.

Fail is right, they should've replaced it with a standard bumper.

There are definitely plans to streamline some of the regional news names around the country to try and provide a bit more consistency. For example, I'm fairly certain ITV News London will replace the more traditional London Today and London Tonight, and expect similar changes in other regions.

West Country Tonight's Twitter account has been renamed "itvNews West Country" although the actual Twitter address is @ITVWestCountry

It would seem more appropriate to rename it ITV News South West, as they tend to describe themselves as ITV News in the South West on air and on their Twitter account.

When they talk about ITV West Country they tend be be referring to the old Westcountry region, ITV West tends to be used when referring to the old HTV West region, but ITV in the South West is used when describing both regions.

Why do they still insist on calling it West Country on screen? Does it still go back to when Carlton rebranded and didnt want it to be called Carlton Westcountry, so we had: the 'as clinical as possible' CARLTON, WEST COUNTRY REGION?

Even more baffling seeing as the region's official name is now "ITV Westcountry"
