ITV Rebrand and New Logo

I haven't heard anything about renaming ITV Player. It would be an odd move, especially with the current (and very well created) ITV Player promotions.

I'd take that to mean it will use the corporate logo rather than the ITV logo (heck, this is where dropping the 1 gets confusing), but probably keep the Player tag, to emphasise it's the ITV Player for all ITV channels, not just the channel ITV.

Ah, that makes sense. That's all good then.

Though white on yellow has been proven to not really work, look at ITV1 from 2006; the lettering was quickly inverted.

I take it these are recreations based on the screenshots posted earlier, not converted from original vector files? I would suspect that as the numbers look a bit dodgy. It would also mean we can't be certain that the colours are completely accurate.

Yes - I had assumed from both the screenshot and previous info that the ITV2 logo would be more of a brighter and stronger colour.

I actually don't know, as I didn't make them. They were uploaded to Logopedia.

Am I alone in thinking the 1999 logo hasn't aged that badly? It still has that laid back, friendly look.

IMO it wasn't the logo itself that aged it, for me it was the use of the blue & yellow, and then the weird bevel that they added from 2002.
The basic black version, the grey dog used on promos, and even the ITV3 blue & white boxes looked a lot better.
