This background looks vaguely branded in the new style and colours. It seems to match the colours of the planning permission thing from a few weeks back.

Not sure if its been mentioned, but here are the colour schemes for each of the ITV channels:
ITV 1 - Mixed Logo (Changes colour based on themes - as revealed before)
ITV 2 - Red Logo with the strapline 'The home of infectious entertainment'
ITV 3 - A blue logo with a 'paper cut-out' theme (I guess like the previous BBC Two Christmas Ident)
ITV 4 - Grey logo with the theme being the 'fan club for all things men'
Not sure about the CITV logo, the current branding is spot on and it's a shame they didn't just change the 'itv' part- not that kids would even notice anyway. The rest are as expected, although interesting to note that ITV4 has the same '4'.
I wonder if someone could get into some trouble for this. It looks like it could be another case of logo on top of footage as the numerals seem very similar.
SWatson, doesn't the new 4 have an extended vertical line to take it above the horizontal in comparison to the current?
Also I'm not sure what to make of the CITV logo, but it looks different, and includes the largest use of the corporate since the early 90's. I'm not sure that the current branding is spot on, but they have done wonders with it over the years compared to how that logo started.

I'm just surprised it's been rolled out without any publicity. Sky Catch Up still has the old logo, and having checked again, the old logo still appears on the 'Smart Tv' screen on my Samsung - it's only when you enter the app do the new logos appear.. perhaps a mistake?

Yes, you're right. I don't particularly watch ITV4 and just noticed that the horizontal line ends where the vertical one starts. My bad.
Sky doesn't use individual channel logos on ITV Player (like it does on BBC iPlayer), but I suppose there will be a new generic logo for the service itself.
I'm not impressed by the new ITV logo at all. I suspect the channel idents are going to be as bad as those celebrity ones from 10 years ago.
