I thought I'd leave It a day or two to see if my opinion of the new logo changes before passing my judgement, although I'm not sure.. I think I like it, but I also think that it looks a little informal for one of the largest television broadcasters in the UK. I never thought that one day, Channel 5 would have a more sensible looking logo than ITV.

I was of similar mind . . . and I think the new ITV corporate logo is ok, but . . .
I cannot get over the notion of removing the numeral from their premier channel. What is is the point?
Was this thought of before DSO completed?

Are their plans that far out?

It's a such a bad idea!

Do we have a date when it will launched?

ITV Media tweeted the other day that all will be revealed January 15.

A Tuesday?

I think we've seen TOO MUCH!

Perhaps they need chance to re-think.

Its strange looking at that logo, it makes me go into a 70s timewarp! I swear I have seen this before in my youth.

In my opinion as for now, , logo would look appropriate only on some satellite or cable tv about cooking or something, but definitely not national channel. Current one is better, much better than new one. At least, it looks modern.

Maybe, there's a retro trend, I wonder

I had heard that the reaction from some ITV staff was that it looked a bit like breasts and now I've seen it I can kinda see what they're getting at. It's quite nice though, am intrigued how it'll work on air

It does remind me of the logo of US network The CW though:

CW's logo doesn't have that 70's style swirl though that the I and the T seem to in the ITV logo. CW has more of a London Weekend curve.

Although it's yet another brand new logo I do see it as kind of an evolution of the current "itv" logo and from the glimpses so far I think it looks pretty damn good on a white or black background, though not so sure about it overlayed on pictures. How it animates will be key - I'm imagining it'll be quite fluid and not just blocks of colour forming the logo and I think not restricting themselves to a single colour pallette on ITV1 at least will really at a bit of life to the logo rather than it being restricted by ridiculous marketing and branding guidelines.

God if Brekkie likes it, then the general public certainly won't.

Strangest breasts I've seen...

The colour matching shots we have seen I presume/hope aren't indicative of logo size/placement on the screen.

I'd like ITV to move away from the middle-left positioning of the logo, and I certainly hope it's smaller than what is on the press images.

Smaller is better, I hope they don't make the same mistake as they did with the 2006 rebrand only to scale them down later.
