The logo's still terrible. It looks ridiculous on the news and sport graphics. The news sudio, not sure how much I like it but feel it's an improvement on what we've had regardless. The regional titles look nice but the naming convention for the programmes is inconsistent. The square with a different colour in it is interesting. A nice regional logo would've slotted in there nicely (never going to happen).
Is ITV Wales (actually feels good to say that) going to get a 'Wales' in tiny font underneath the logo on idents preceding what little regional variations they still have because they're all special and national? What about 'Channel Television'?
You've got to hand it to them, this is not only a very nice looking rebrand (I think) but very well organised. Everything from TV to online to buildings have all been updated over the weekend ready for tomorrow. This is the first ITV rebrand that I think has really gone this well, and It's only 1 hour into Monday! Be interesting to see the regional sets.
My only nitpick is, I know that the ITV news set pic on their Facebook page is likely a closeup, but that looks very much like a set that could have been made for real for not a colossal expense. Is it being virtual really necessary? The theatre of news was colossal in size so of course impractical for making in real life, but that set if built for real would look so much better.
