ITV Rebrand and New Logo

Is it just me or does it look like the guy in light blue T-shirt is making a rather rude gesture?

Interesting concession to STV and UTV there. Is this new?

The brand in terms of the regions I don't get is Granada. I don't see why they've kept 'Reports' on the end? I mean I assume 'ITV News Channel TV' is all about the company ie Channel Television. And as said Yorkshire isn't a good representation of the area covered ie Lincoln is in Yorkshire and North Yorkshire are in Tyne Tees, not to mention Calendar is much stronger brand.

But for Granada I don't see why they've gone for 'ITV News Granada Reports' when realistically 'ITV News Granada' would do. As in the same token, it should be 'ITV News Central Tonight' etc.

Looks poor the old logos looked better, the news looks good but that logo yuck.
