I asking if anyone knows if ITV is networked?

You know back in the good old days 15 companies did what the pleased, so Networked stuff come alone to make it easier to have 15 all singing of the same sheet

But now 4 companies that left and channel is just ITV lap dog.

So are programmes still networked. I don’t believe there are any more, stv still come out and show other stuff even during peak time

The only ITV plc owned region I know that still opts out (excluding regional slots), and even reruns network programming at a later time is ITV Wales.

Is it true that the anno comes from London? If so, why is it that the CA introduce the name of the programme into the regional slots, e.g "Now on ITV1, My Yorkshire" on ITV1 Yorkshire. I've also seen "Yorkshire" written, albeit in very small text, under the ITV1 logo on rare occasions since the January 2006 rebrand.

A lot of it is recorded in advance nowadays, Even back in the early 00's the GMG regions started to use the same anno team and just recorded slightly different speech's for each region whenever they needed to. The same happens now with the team in London.

Although the quality of the announcers was better then!

Debatable in YTV's case......

AIUI the ex-GMG North regions and Central still play out presentation for local programmes from Leeds, using pre-recorded links produced from London. The rest are 100% London-sourced.

I believe so yes, even more so than before.

Now almost all programmes are networked, apart from the regional news and the 3 or 4 regional slots for local programming every week.

Because they opt out of the network, same as Wales do on Mondays at 8pm and on a Sunday morning for Soccer Sunday.
