ITV Network Transmission Issues

Clean ITV1 ident (in London) into Lunchtime News however 14:9

Speaking to someone thats in the Tyne Tees region, he says they got a apology :

We got that ident, but not the apology in London

Same here (London), I wonder how they got it and we didn't.

(Is it even possible to send up announcements to Leeds via the internet?)

More likely ISDN, but then they'd likely have some generic annos to play (which this wasn't)

If it is from Leeds then perhaps the ITV1 they're sending out to the parts of the country not in their patch is some sort of minus announcer version. It's certainly a basic 14:9 version

Local announcer ? Pre recorded apology announcements held on the Leeds server for just this occurrence ?

Umm we have central news here on Channel on Sky.

Analogue is ok though.

Think a phone call to Channel is in order.

EDIT: It has just switched over halfway through the weather. We were on Central West.

London seems to be the only region back to broadcast from London, all the other southern regions are showing Central News.

All Channel would say is they had major problems at the South Bank this morning. I guess that's where Channel feeds back to for Sky? Im also guessing this is where they pick up there Digital signal of Meridian for Analogue broadcast?

Alistair Stewart acknowledged that Meridian and Thames Valley viewers had joined him, sounds like everyone else in the south got Cenral

Sorry if Im being thick but surely Channel should have had London as we get stuff from Meridian?
