Previously when HTV News has relauched it has either coincidently relaunched alongside ITN news or just by itself.

There has never been a network-wide news rebrand in the past. Some studios have only just recieved the first wave of the current/only network-wide news branding.
So this will be the first time that the ITV national and regional news has relaunched with ONE coherent brand.

Therefore, I reckon the new studios will all be seen from GMTV onwards.

2nd February 2004. Didnt all the regions relaunch that day along with the National News? I remember ITV Wales News revealed their changes on the mid morning bulletin and GMTV bulletins came from the old set.

Im not expecting big changes as the ITV Wales News/Wales Tonight has only just had a new set!

I notice ITV are still advertising programmes on during the day next week as part of ITV Day.

Now I know the trailer design won't change till Monday, but considering their are no indications that ITV Day will survive the revamp it seems a bit daft advertising it as part of ITV Day - not that ITV would care much about that anyway!

Is there any point of me getting up at 5.30 .. ?
It is january 16th by that time.I would guess that the news will have the new look at that time am i right

and will the itv lunchtime news use a diffrent background ? Just if they use the black background with the wizzy coloured lines it all seems a bit too dark.. maybe they will replace it white ?

But it would look even stranger advertising next week's ITV Day programmes using the current ITV1 endboards.

ITV.com's new header has a DAY link on it rather than daytime so the chances are it could be staying (not saying it will though)

I think there should be a different colour for each ITV News.Morning News and Late News can stay black because it'll be dark outside!
Lunchtime News should be red and Evening News should be dark blue.

My personal gut feeling is that ITV News won't relaunch at 5.30am.

They did last time but that was the beginning of a new day on the ITV News Channel. In 1999 they didn't actually relaunch the Morning News until over a year later!

Seeing how little effort has been put into the bulletin lately, and considering it's now technically the last of the overnight bulletins, I don't think they'll relaunch till the 10.55 summary, as ITV1 itself probably won't debut the new look till 9.25am (though the trailers may appear during GMTV).

I think the best idea is to set the video rather than the alarm!

I noticed yesterday's ITV NEWS must of been done in the graphics studio, as it looked very strange, also it did not show a bit of the desk not even at the end.
Also this morning's 5:30 news was quite bizzare, because when they showed an aerial view of the studio you could see that there was was a carpet on the studio floor and you could actually see some of the wires appearing beneath, some of the floor has also been removed.

I wonder what the new ITV NEWS theme music will sound like, and I'm also interested to see the ITV NIGHTLY NEWS tomorrow night.
