I wasn't expecting a new credit design, afterall the one with the 'scratch' has been around for years. I wonder if we will still see it, as there would be hardly any point changing it to the new style on repeats
On the ECP, I think they've only moved it to the left hand side because they can. Everytime it animates it'll look like they are going to promote ITV2 or a helpline!

I've got a feeling it will automatically completely change on everything. I think it's easy enough to just replace the old with the new.
ITV seem hell bent on removing everything related in any way to the old look. They've got themselves a new corporate font, ditched the old colours, revamped all the channels including all aspects of the news, got a new credit design, are rebuilding ITV.com...
It's all changing and I'm very surprised.

I like the fact that the trailer for James Bond has the wrong film title for the picture (Pierce Bronson didn't do On Her Majesty's Secret Service) & that the web address is www.itv.commillionaire

Oh for crying out loud. Something they could have got rid of, instead they've made it worse and placed further shackles on programme makers.
The current credit policy is already short sighted in that it only deals with the here and now - programmes are made in the format required for initial broadcast without much thought given to what happens after that. Surely these silly credits, besides often not fitting in with the "feel" of a programme or making it look amateurish, puts the programmes at a disadvantage when they are sold to other channels or the home video market?
Any why can't the appearance of "Next Time" astons be a matter for producers?

New ITV corporate credit design. Programme makers can choose which one to use or use a choice of block colours (Light Blue, Medium Blue, Dark Blue, or Black) and video IF it contrasts well enough with the text.

I'm getting a bit confused here!
So the idents on ITV1 are yellow, the end credits are blue bands, the news has gone green and the promotions are black and yellow.
Where does the more coherent branding come in then?
It all seems to be different colours and ideas! Nothing ties together!!!!!!
