Here's a crude phone photo of the ITV2 idents.

"ITV2's lime green branding is geared towards attracting 'metropolitan hedonists'".

Any more mate?

No more images. She did mention that ITV3 would have a deep red logo and that the idents include a "ballerina pirouetting in a jewel box". But no, that's all the images.

UTV were using the dirty ITV1 feed for the end of The Jeremy Kyle Show, complete with network ECP and voiceover, and for the beginning of This Morning (it had the "subtitles" Aston).

I thought this thread was on the ITV revamp not UTV cock ups Confused

How do you know it's a cock up and not in some way related to the ITV1 rebrand? It may well not be, but it is related to ITV branding.

Mmmmm it's growing on me.....and it's not even started in GB yet. Does anyone have any idea why UTV are using the new pres already? Is it a market test (although abit late to change it) or is it a cock-up with timing?

Simple answer - UTV don't have the money, kit or inclination to 'double-produce' all of their promos (i.e. 'old branding edit' and 'new branding edit') from now until relaunch, like the NPU can do and are doing.

As soon as UTV will have been issued the new kit-of-parts, they will have installed them and begun using them.

There would be nothing stopping them from releasing promos with no proper endboard however.

UTV are disinclined to double-produce promos simply because they are a NI TV station and don't broadcast to the rest of the UK officially. This is just another new look as far as they are concerned; the fact that a few ident anoraks on internet forums are dissecting these things to extrapolate what the new ITV look may be won't bother them (or ITV I'd suggest) one bit.

I totally agree with you, most of the UTV viewers have not even a clue that the channel is called ITV 1 in GB, and I do not think they would care if they all had the same look of not.
So what if UTV are using some of the new look, they are hardly about to reveal it to the rest of GB.

I actually like the look of the ITV2 Ident. Guess I'll be one of the few who do though, as usual. Rolling Eyes

Let's just hope the Ident is slightly better onscreen then it is on the newspaper.
