I can assure you the font for the word ITV is not myriad, and is custom drawn. Also the font used on ITV4 is a new corporate font for ITV, developed by Fontsmith, who are responsible for Channel 4, E4 and More 4 fonts.

The new ITV logo just doesn't seem as interesting as the current one. It is just the font Myraid, which has been chosen because it looks modern and friendly, and that's it. It reminds me of Sky's branding. At least the current logo is unique.

I can't wait for the revamp now!
It's going to be great seeing all new logos and presentation for ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and the ITV News network, not to mention ITV.com! I can't wait to see how the regions work with it, if the credits for programmes will change, etc etc...
I hope it's worth the wait, and that we get a press release of some kind soon!

Really? Do the credits look different in any other way? Are they credits over the show or a generic background?
Is the font nice? How did you know it was the new corporate font?
so many questions...

Well I think I'm a bit of a geek for spotting this, but the credits for The 5'O Clock Show are in the new corporate font...

As a matter of interest, why do the break boards omit the logo? I understand that the movies are versioned from telecine onto VT, edited, topped-and-tailed, etc, and for future re-use these boards should enable easy re-branding should the same version be required for transmission again in the future, but what I can't work out is, when all other aspects of the slide are so obviously rooted firmly in current branding (in terms of colours, fonts, shapes, layout), these boards couldn't be used after the re-brand anyway without looking out of place, so such forward planning wouldn't really pay any dividend.

They are using a yellow and white slide to enter/exit the current movie on ITV1 just now.

I've always assumed it was so that UTV, Scottish and Grampian don't have the indignity of an ITV1 logo on screen.
