Yeah I saw that, how peculiar.

Well we've got an even better idea about the ITV4 presentation.

Here's a (bad) cap of the launch promo endcap:

Using trailing slashes and underscores doesn't help show the animation.

But yes, I saw it, it was a break flash all evening but it has now returned to the generic ITV1 stacked break flash.

It was nice, the lines rushed down at an angle to form that box, with the ITV4 logo fading in and "Tuesday" appearing on the left. Professional and sleek IMO, strange how they've taken it away! Confused

The breakbumper was also used during the National Television Awards, so it looks as though they are being selective about where they use it rather than using it for every break between now and Tuesday.

I do agree, a football game isnt a way to start a big ITV channel like this. Don't you agree that ITV 4 dosent feel part of the itv family?

Errr...a male orientated channel starting wtha top-class football match; yes it is. ITV4 didn't get the biggest digital launch figures for nothing you know!

Its like Dave said, and at the risk of sterotyping,

Males=Football. ITV4's launch night proved a big pull and one can only hope this is a taste of things to come from the new ITV.

Now I don't want to turn this thread into a "revival of the regional names" or anything like that it's just something I read on a NON TV related forum (and no it wasn't Metropol)....

According to a posting on that particular forum somebody said the reason the other channels rnew idents have been delayed is because they have realised that the dissaperance of the regional names was a mistake & they were working on idents that had the regional names in them Laughing

shurley shome mishtake .

I realise this is very unlikely & approached those comments with sceptisism (sp) but would like someone to confirm that that is in actual fact a load of b*ll*cks
