I don't think they will change the current ECPs on ITV 1-3, somebody did a mock placing the stylised "4" under the 3 (although I can't seem to find it now), and it didn't look too bad.
Surely that "will do" as an interim measure until the rest of the ITV presentation is changed to the new logos in the New Year.

I imagine the ITV4 ECP (and eventual standard) will basically have the ITV logo (without text) fill the screen, with the credits filling the gap where the number appears.
In other words, credits will move to right (instead of left), with left half and right strip coloured.

I think I know what you mean Brekkie, but I think they can easily adapt the current ECP (yes, agree with the credits moving to the right, as they were previously), but with the new 1,2,3,4 logos under perhaps a neutral coloured generic ITV logo (assuming all channels will have different coloured numerics).

It means that the logo will be messed around with in some of the idents.
Which is normally the first thing designers tell you not to do in thier big book of branding rules when they make you a new logo.
