ITV national weather

I don't often get a chance to catch the lunchtime news and weather etc.

I notice over the past two days, STV is opting out to show a different Sponsor. Digby Brown. Does ITV have a different Sponer south of the border or is Leeds and London got different sponsors?

STV always has a different sponsor from the rest of the Network. Last time I saw it on Network it was Seven Seas sponsoring the National Weather. Not sure what sponsor UTV have...

Did this come about when STV had that dispute? Just after powergem stop doing it.

The opt out from the network sponsor is pretty bad, one has to wonder why the clean feed is not being used.

Who said it's a dispute and not an advertising difference? To advertise on ITV plc in England and Wales is probably one fee, Scotland, another 3 Licences and licencees is another fee

Reread what I said: when STV had that dispute? IE talking about 2010-2013.....

But it can be read as you inferring it was due to the dispute, as otherwise you could have just used a timeframe 'past few years' or something.

ITV National Weather is being produced at ITV Wales today with Alex Beresford. (Ruth Wignall is covering London for Martin Stew as he's presented the bulletin for Nina).

UTV has had a different sponsor in the past, think it was during the Shiela's Wheels era as they weren't available on NI. Still called "ITV National Weather" ,though.

Unless the national weather is coming from a different studio, it was in HD tonight.
