Seems strange that appears to be playing out immediately after each weather bulletin - why couldn't they get the damn sponsorship?


Last night was the first time I had the misfortune of catching the Sheila's Wheels sting for the weather - how completely inappropriate.


What about when there is a major tragic news story and we'd have ITV News signing off with images of the days tragic event in a sombre mood - and then that Sheila's Wheels crap!

Speaking of Topps Tiles, I've noticed ITV London Weekday currently has no weather sponsorship, it just fades in/out from black. Seems like Topps Tiles have pulled out. (Will try and cap)

Well LWT (ITV 1 London Weekend ) just had Tops Tiles, even when the Carlton/LWT had gone they still had seperate sponsors five years on, perhaps Carlton London hasn't got a new sponsor yet (either that or it was a mistake)?

Tyne Tees have had sponsors that have lasted only two months recently, then sponsorless and then another new sponsor. It's been said on another thread that Yorkshire have just got a new sponsor too. It seems current regional weather sponsors contracts are ending now..

Oddly enough though Carlton London had Topps Tiles for years & LWT something else (can't remember what of recent though) although both did share First Choice holidays in the mid 90's

London Weekend Weather was BMI Baby for a while, Blue man group as well, can't remember what it last was though.

Shows how long since I last saw it, it was last BMI with the birds

I think it was also sponsored by 118 118 recently too

Yorkshire has just lost it's sponsorship on the 31/12/07 (ThompsonFly with Robin Hood Airport, sponsors the weather you leave behind), from 02/01/08 it has been sponsorless
