God how horrible was that?
They tried to cram the Shelia's Wheels jingles into 5 seconds of sting before and after the Weather and you couldn't even make out what they were trying to say!
Weathergens back to grace our screens for 2008 I say! ITV could do with a touch of class somewhere along the line.

Sheila's Wheels is owned by esure. Maybe they'll rotate them between esure and Sheila's Wheels.
I agree that the stings were very rushed, particularly the one at the end.
Sheila's Wheels isn't available in Northern Ireland, which is why there's a different sponsor (it's also unavailable in the Channel Islands, so there's probably a different sponsor there as well).

I know this is the
national
weather thread but...
I thought Jon Mitchell (ITV Yorkshire) was a dedicated forecaster for Calendar. But he regularly appears on ITV Tyne Tees.
I know it could be just because its christmas but Debbie Lindley was on at lunchtime but not this evening. He must just be for North East Tonight, for some reason, I wonder if he will be a regular on Tyne Tees when Bob Johnson departes (he's getting on)!
Edit: He got a nice introduction.. Kenny told viewers Phillipa wore 'skimpy knickers', following a report on a big pair of knickers.
They couldn't handle their laughter, what has regional news come to...

I've now changed the topic description from "1993 - 2001 PowerGen sponsorships" to "general discussion", to reflect current posts.
There's a team of forecasters (based at YTV) who do the weather reports for the Northern regions (YTV, Granada, Tyne Tees, Border). Jon and (later on) Debbie started with Calendar back in the 1990s.

I know about YTV forecasters doing the weather for Northern regions. E.g. Kerrie Gosney.. But I thought Jon just did Calendar now, but obviously not then.
