My best guess is that's a placeholder - 'Nuff said.

Makes sense.

Oh. That's it?

One star. Come back when you can do something other than mock up a single word in PowerP-- wait, what?

Totally agree. The Merit mock in The Gallery’s actually better than this. Though since this is probably only a temporary channel, there isn’t really any point in putting much effort into it.

To be fair, this might not be the logo. They're probably using it as a placeholder until the logo is revealed.

Oh I thought you were making a joke about how there is no logo but turns out it's pure white Razz

Not a good choice for a logo.

Well, if there was no logo available, the name usually appears as plain text, but this is an actual image that has been uploaded so it is what they are using as the logo. For now at least.

I highly suspect this is a placeholder logo... even if this is a temporary channel, if a single unpaid enthusiast can make a half decent logo why can’t a major broadcaster
Arqiva, just switch to DVB-T2 already...

Apologies for bumping this thread, but that's true.

The EPG seems to show that Merit is launching next Wednesday at 8pm. It appears to be broadcasting just three different programmes: The Hungry Sailors, Callie-Anne Cooks into the Wild, and Britain's Best Back Gardens, ad infinitum.

Wouldn't it be better (cheaper) just to have kept ITV3+1 as a placeholder? What advertisers would be interested in a 3 hour repeat channel designed not to show any original content? Even the name doesn't really mean anything.

Reminds me of Travel Channel years ago broadcasting just 1 hour a day (12 - 1am) as a placeholder on Sky.

As said earlier in the thread this is likely a holding channel with its own schedule that can be sold on to another broadcaster who wants the decent EPG position. They can't just sell on ITV3+1 and it doesn't matter if advertisers aren't interested as that's not the primary point of the channel.

Fair enough, I was just thinking it could be potentially loss making if they don't sell the slot soon especially as commercial channels are struggling for ad revenue at the moment.
