Just before midday there was an MHEG caption, white text on black background, saying 'New channel coming soon'. Waited ages to see if a logo image appeared, but nothing did.

I’d expect that it would at least be in progress (if not finished) by now, although as you say it’s entirely possible that TVF mocks will make it into the news

Anyways, the logo is out. Check your TV guides.
There is currently a black screen right now without the ''new channel coming soon'' text.

Totally agree. The Merit mock in The Gallery’s actually better than this. Though since this is probably only a temporary channel, there isn’t really any point in putting much effort into it.
