ITV "looking hard" for new channels - try looking over in that dusty cupboard marked 'we used to be good you know!' you will be amazed what come splilling out

ITV2 and ITV3 are very good channels. ITV2 in particular is shaping up to be a very good channel, with the latest acquisitions. It could do with some originally commissioned shows - the only one I an think of was Footballers' Wives Extra Time, which wasn't that good.
But apart from that, great presentation and the content is getting there.
ITV4 isn't so good, and I think ITV should seriously consider merging it with Men and Motors. It would certainly beef up the schedule and help the ratings.

I used to like Bedrock - when ITV first started, and it could with something like that now between 6 and 7pm whilst ITV1 has the news hour!!!! I also used to love watching CD:UK repeat on Saturday evenings at 6pm - why did they ever move it from that slot?????? They do have some good programmes headed there way onto the channel - if anything ITV2 is ITV's natural new home for foreign import first runs.

You do realize that the closedown at 6 happens because that's when ITV4 starts, don't you?

One option I could see ITV doing is an "ITV on Demand" service allowing users to pay to watch content, a bit like what is happenning to TopUP TV.
