The ITV Movie Club has launched, it's one of their better websites at
www.itv.com/movies
So you can add itv MOVIECLUB to your list of logos that don't follow the broken up look. ITV2 & 3 are now using new MOVIES logos on screen.
Not sure I like "Movies" anyway, it's very American.

Ooh I do like that site, it still takes years to load, but why cant the rest of itv.com be designed in a similar way. Surely adding a white background instead of that wierd blue line background would vastly improve it.
I'm all for the joined up ITV logo as I prefer that original to the BBC clone that seems to be doing the rounds now.
I do like it, though I don't like the 2002 embossing effect with the scratch. Simple blue & yellow with no effect would do for me.

The letters 'itv' could be said to be based on many a font; not just Arial Alternative. Fact is, it was simply custom designed from scratch. You could even say it was based on Lucida Console, but as I say there are so many others similar.
As for blue and yellow, when the scheme was first designed you may recall that the regional logos were also shown in mainly blue and yellow, and in fact on the unused versions shown on The Continuity Booth, each region's logo was to be shown in a yellow and blue box next to the region name box (also in yellow and blue) - also to retain familiarity with the many past yellow-on-blue versions of regions' logos from times gone by. That is why the 'itv' logo was designed in yellow and blue.

Yeah - TTTV's logo was never changed on the hearts ident - despite becoming blue/white in September 2000.

I have liked all versions of the ITV logo since 02. I like the scratch one, I like the simpled bevel one and the split one. I would find it hard which one to pick, but there again I am not running one of the biggest media companies... The i in the split up ITV logo would be much better further over, like the orginal split up ITV2 logo. Its too far over to the left and doesnt look right. I think ITVi should go to the corporate logo and colour, as its not a channel and isnt the ITV colour scheme.
