ITV Launch New Promo Styles

Quite a nice refresh, but it's really the idents that need to change.

Yes, the trailers and ECP did not need changing, but how do you move forward if you're not prepared to change?

I have to concur with other posters - consistency is lost with the new ECPs and trails, but I think it looks alright. However I don't think the surrounding aspects of the presentation package needed a change.

I'll be generous - it's a little bit of a misstep, but not by much.

I haven't seen itv today so the idents are the same then . How many more years do we have to have them

Don't think this style really works with this font, though might be better if they reduced the size of the Day/Time line slightly, and probably switched the colour so the programme name was in colour.

At least another two, just based on how long the previous set lasted. Could be as much as six when you consider how long BBC One's circle idents ran for!

Just seen the new promo style. Let's just say, you won't have trouble seeing the name/time of the programme! It's a big enough font. Lol

With seemingly hundreds in use and new ones added all the time, the idents don't need replacing in my opinion

And the channel 4 lasted for about 10 years I think sorry if people don't agree I hate people idents but they seem to be the norm these days

It's ok having the quantity, but does it not matter about quality?

To me they're just uninspiring and cheap.

To have something different for idents for change would be nice like more generic ones like sky one

Ahh that's a bit of a shame, I really liked the old style - especially the seamless transition into another trail. This doesn't look too bad though, although I've only seen the pics on here.

If the breakbumper has changed, I wonder if GMB have been given a heads up as one of their into-break titles does that nice fade into the first frame of the bumper.

Someone in the mocks forum tried to recreate them, but there's is a cinematic, subtle style to them.
