ITV Launch New Promo Styles

Forgive me if this changed a while ago, but I watch very little ITV so have not seen this before...

I noticed this morning that trailer endboards now have a different layout, with the ITV logo in the bottom left (rather than vertically centred as previously) and quite small, and the programme & TX information is written in large writing that fills up as much of the rest of the space as possible. The white background is now a single shade of white all over, rather than using two or three shades of "off-white" to create swooshes/curves/arcs.

The two trailers that I saw this morning were both for programmes on ITV(1), so I've not yet seen what trailers for ITV2/3/4 now look like.

The same trailers weren't like that yesterday, so it looks like they've done an old school mini-revamp where all the trailers change on the same day like they used to do in the hearts era.

I noticed this style was used on short adverts before YouTube videos last month most notably promoting the voice.

They have lost the fade to white at the end of the trailers which used to add to a seemless transition into the next trailer, a shame as I loved the transitional element from launch.

UTV has lost the gradient on its bumpers. ITV using Voice UK bumpers.

The ECP has also changed to a similar style.

Really not a fan of the updated style, looks like change for the sake of it. The old style looked fine. They've essentially squared everything off, despite the fact the curves made the style pretty unique.

I agree Aaron, the ECP looks very sparse and square now, with the logo bottom left not aligning with the idents it has taken away the uniformity of the package.
