Can't believe Dangermouse hasn't been mentioned yet (Cosgrove Hall for Thames, so not necessarily available anyway, but one of the all time best programmes on CITV). Murphy's Mob was great.

Isn't Dangermouse still being repeated on Boomerang? As said the channel would probably use most of the recent Granada and Carlton programmes available to them, probably not the FremantleMedia ones (ie Thames).

It would be good to see if this channel would show retro progammes, but I can guess it being like CiTV in its current form with endless repeats of My Parents Are Aliens. I wouldn't be sure if Art Attack would appear on the channel, as Disney show them, some old and some pretty recent ones.

Highly unlikely that they would repeat any Ghost Train -- this was a Tyne Tees-administered programme and a lot of their archive was lost in the early 90s.

Lost as in - we can't remember where we put the video tapes? Or lost as in there was a fire/flood and the tapes were damaged? Or lost as in someone else now owns the rights to the shows?

Lost as in "YTV wouldn't pay for the upkeep of the archive so thousands of tapes were destroyed".

That's quite shocking. You would have thought after what happened with Dr Who that they'd have learned not to do that anymore.

It certainly would - but would the kids of today understand such classic programming like Knightmare? Or would they prefer the far simpler Spongebob Squarepants and the like?

PLEASE SHOW RETRO PROGRAMMES ITV4!
