The Nightly Show

Really? I watched a bit of the first show and physically winced at some of the edits. It's a tricky business, editing, and you can only work with the material you're given. Perhaps the second show was better edit wise.

Was definitely more conversational last night, the edit was a lot better but there's still a lot of work to be done.

John's pretty much summed up the point I made in the last page, as well as not seeing the point of moving NAT. There's potential for that concept, but swapping the hosts is not a good move.

ITV have scrapped the Nightly Show tonight in favour of extra news coverage.

There's a certain irony there but a good decision.

To be expected, I would have been surprised if they'd done anything else.

Oh - it is still on but will air at 12:15am it looks like - S1E18

That will be dropped and replaced by another repeat I imagine.

I bet the rest of the week it will get dropped and News at ten will come back.

I'd imagine the central location of the theatre would make it impractical to record with a live audience at 6pm today anyway.

There's a gag in this week's Private Eye about Kevin Lygo bringing in Tom Bradby to be the new presenter of The Nightly Show, changing it so it discusses the issues of the day, changing the theme tune...
