Will it still be called The Nightly Show when it's dropped to one night a week?

Do you think that will happen?

I doubt it. I think they'll stick with it no matter how low the viewing figures may go. Gone are the days when a programme tanks in the ratings and is pulled from the schedules right away, moved to a graveyard slot to die.

I think it'll do amazingly well.

There, that's all eventualities covered.

Not quite...

I think it will do amazingly well and then will be poached by Channel 4.
I think it will tank in the ratings but will achieve viral success on YouTube.
I think one of the hosts will make offensive comments all night, will become the permanent host, and will become the ultimate combination of Richard Littlejohn, Katie Hopkins, and Piers Morgan.
I think the first episode will be pre-empted by earth-shattering breaking news and will be pre-empted for its entire run by the aftermath of that news.
I think there will be a stage invasion during the second episode, prompting a slight increase in viewing figures, making just enough of an impact to ensure a second series. The programme is pushed beyond 10pm to allow for inevitable further stage invasions, cases of nudity, and Paul Akinbola to guest with Iain Lee, who would be the permanent host for the second series.

That should do.

I think 10:30 would have been fine when you look at what is on the other main channels.

Champions League and Europa League highlights pushed back to 23:15 on 8 and 9 March as expected.

Amazingly they are also giving The Nightly Show a repeat at 0:10/0:15 every night.

It wouldn't be 10:30 though would it, it'd be 10:45, with a poor lead in from the late regional weather

I wonder who their guests are going to be. Hopefully not the same old people most ITV daytime shows get on promoting their new ITV shows. Possibly ant and dec with Scarlett Moffat to promote Saturday night takeaway. Olivia Coleman for Broadchurch. I'd rather see big name people and decent bands with performances and not David dancing round the studio being all camp.

The problem with this show is that they can't create permanent features to work with the personality of the show due to the constant changing of presenters. It remind me of that Channel 4 programme that replaced Paul O'Grady. Obviously we'll have to wait and see. I'm surprised that they didn't try and poach Rylan to front it.

Apologies if this has been already mentioned, but a scheduled slot of 30mins, less trailers and adverts, really isn't worth the effort. No time to develop an argument, counter and discuss, will be light and frothy especially with more than one guest.

I don't think anyone was expecting anything but light and frothy.
