ITV/ITV1 Hearts Idents

Why can't each region do their own thing? It doesn't matter about a uniform ITV1 brand and it would lead to more imaginative presentation styles and regional identity. Plus it would make TV presentation a lot more fun as each region would be different. But please god not ITV1 London that's just so boring.

The BBC should do that as:
i) they'd get crucified for wasting taxpayers money on each region being separate.
and
ii) The BBC is a nationally respected brand.

The whole point of ITV is to represent the regions, ITV is meant primarily for the domestic market. What's more our regional stations in a federal structure is much envied by other nations and well loved also if ITV became ITV1 it would just be another soulless network and we'd never be able to return to the regional days.

Oh well not long to go now for the itv1 xmas idents.........

And if YTV don't have any again this year, I'm going to tune into another region on SKY throughout the festive period!

Beat you to it. UTV already have their XMas idents -- shame they're just the generic ITV eskimo dancing around to a festive UTV jingle UTV not being as creative as in previous years unfortunately.

Mind you, all their trailers are now christmassy as well, unlike ITV1's...
