I know these idents have only been up and running for a short while now but i am already tried or confused about the cloulds ident. Why has this been chosen? I would prefer some generated image like the blue ribbons - a copy of the BBC (see the TV room).
They already have a blue ribbon background. Some people have already suggested this is just a temporary look again until the new person, whoever they are to come up a new relaunch. Surely they are running out of ideas for the four squares branding they have now. The squares are now looking tired, probably because they've been revamped so many times, after only 2 years!
It's odd isn't it. After seeing the celeb idents i didn't think ITV1s presentation package could get any more boring, but I was wrong!
It's good seeing a graphical ident again, but something a little more punchier would of been. Look at Skys 1993 presentation package, now THOSE are idents!
Have you seen the i t v interactive logo. The intense red really looks out of place with the rest of the presentation package, not to mention that awful teletext font!

I noticed that on the advert for the politican show. You could vote online and they showed the red [ i ] logo, it looked as you say completely out of place and too red.
I think that the colours used, blue and yellow as in the ITV1logo look good, but when you compare them to other logos such as C4, Sky, it looks really bland.
