I think there are more Carlton* 'heart + star' idents than that corporate ones. And there are. Should ITV and English&Pockett do more?

As scary as Yorkshire TV's
'scary chevron'
?
You leave that poor chevron alone. Poor old Richard Whitely would need therapy if it were removed...

Obviously you didn't read my sig! YTV is
my
region!Anyway, when they switched to a
blue
background, it was no longer so scary!
Also, I didn't call it scary - it was in caption marks - it's a phrase I've seen it referred to on the net!

Well thats told me, hasn't it. I suggest not getting too worked up about it though - people might just take offense.

the 70's version was pretty boring, until the liquid gold animation and 3D rendering were added! I've seen them on other sites - there should be some on the links page.

It always amazes me how whenever ITV introduces a new corporate identity, the regional ITV companies will use them for a while then get bored and one by one they start to introduce their own logos. ITV then loses it's identity as the regions become a mish-mash of dodgy local stations. If ITV are serious about maintaining their share of the audience they need to adopt one unique brand across the whole country.
