The Digitalbitrate website shows what's happened to the transponder that did carry Central W, Meridian SE and London HD - three HD channels removed yesterday, two new ITV HD variants now testing.

3 regions testing are:

21010 - Meridian Thames HD
21015 - Meridian South HD
21070 - Anglia West HD

21080 on 11097 would appear to be Central East HD judging by the weather opt.

Great that the remaining HD sub-regions are being added. Well done ITV.

So it looks like it'll only be Yorkshire (Belmont) and Border Scotland who will be SD only after these changes.

Yorkshire (East) is on 11068 SID 20820
Yorkshire (West) is on 11097 SID 21040

Thanks, so it'll be the two smallest ITV areas left. Border Scotland and ITV Channel Television being SD only.

I was surprised to find that Virgin Media don't have Yorkshire W HD available despite it being on DSat. Just Granada HD.

So does that mean ITV HD will be on 103 on Sky in the Meridian region then?

Yes, should be very soon.

Shouldn't viewers in Kent and E Sussex already be seeing ITV HD on Sky 103, as it already qualifies for an EPG swap?

Yes they do.
We in Meridian South and Meridian Thames Valley currently have Meridian South East HD on 176.

Shouldn't the thread title contain the words "lack of"?! 😏 (Or change the final word to "Sky", as that's how most of the discussion is going...)

I'm so jealous of Sky viewers now. The woeful lack of progress re: ITV HD (and BBC One HD) regions on Freeview, about 94 years after the HD channels launched, is utterly pathetic. 😡

Surely Ofcom*/the government (or whoever) should have long-since forced an end to the BBC & ITV stalemate over funding the infrastructure needed to bring all regions & sub-regions to HD? Tell them that they must go 50/50 on the cost, and get it all done by a certain deadline date!

(*Silly me, forgetting that Ofcom is so toothless as to render its own existence pointless).

We're now into the 3rd decade of the 21st Century, for goodness sake! The fact that we *still* have no better "solution" (pah!) than BBC One HD's Red Screen Of Death, and anomolies such as ITV Central West HD all the way down to Penzance, is an inexcusable state of affairs.
