Good Point!

It's certainly been a London Weekend what with Trish on daytime today!

I can't believe it's been 11 months since we said cheerio to regional continuity.

Any ideas what ex-regional announcers are doing?

I know Ted May works occasionally for Channel 5 and no doubt continues his lucrative voiceover work.

I gather Mark Lipscomb is still reading news on Central South at the weekends - but I haven't heard him freelancing on ITV1 for ages.

So shall we start a where are they now?

Doesn't the girl who was on lwt and now on ITV1 also work for Five now? how come she can do both ?

She's freelance!

They offer the work - Trish says er...... I'll check my diary!

you'd think that both channels wouldn't want to use the same voice though - ?

Former Tyne Tees announcers Bill Steel and Kathy Secker are presenting on radio - Bill on century FM (Northeast) and Kathy on BBC Radio Newcastle (her show is 'networked' across the north I believe).

Anyone know what Mike Prince (ATV/Central), Redvers Kyle (YTV) are up to now?

My claim to fame is I once sold Paul Lally (YTV) a rail ticket when I worked for the GNER call centre. He was off to Burnham Wink

From what I have read Redvers Kyle retired about ten years ago, so I guess he's in his mid seventies now. But he made an appearance in TV Offal a few years ago.

But I do wonder what Bob Preedy, Maggie Mash, Neil Didsbury and Helen Aitkenm are doing now? While the lucky two are Kerrie Gosney and Pete Haslam who are still there.
