ITV given permission to make cuts

My answer to the first point is ITV knew exactly what they were taking on when they applied for the franchises...put up or shut up! And TV isn't about making programmes just because they pay. I personally can't think of anything worse than sitting through a church service on Sunday morning - but that's not the point. To someone else it's a highlight of their viewing - and there are other channels if you don't want to watch it.

Too right. If something is "forced" on people then it should serve the whole community including "minorities". Sitting watching morning worship is not my idea of TV heaven either, but there are people out there who are housebound and rely on their telly for entertainment and their weekly church service.
Like i said earlier, if ITV only want commercial gain they should renouce their franchises and go onto digital as FTA or a subscription channel and let companies who want to gives us PSBs run channel 3.
