Blimey, I'd forgotton about the start of show recap!
Millionaire was something great to have on every once in a while...the 2 / 3 week runs on every night were great. But eventually it got boring as ITV relied on it too much.
I can sort of see Deal Or No Deal going the same way - though Noel's personality and the fact it's not a "Question - Answer" show makes it a bit more exciting. It's developing into it's own show now with Noel truly himself and players bonding like anyone's business.
Perhaps it's time for a "Super Millionaire" like ABC did in America. £10 million top prize anyone?

WWTBAM is in need of a major revamp. I think only the title images, the hotseat area and lighting colour has been changed since 1998.
Its obviously kept going because it was once a worldwide hit and is still shown in other countries.
Note also there is no longer Chris saying "Last time on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" at the start of the show. This reduces the 'suspense' element.
I think if ITV did revamp however, they would probably introduce an ITV2 'backstage show' after hosted by someone like Matt 'boring' Brown and it would probably go the same way as Blind Date with Tarrant deciding to leave and the show scrapped. Tricky situation really.
