The only relevant infrastructure that has gone is a continuity suite and playout area in each region. There is no reason why each region couldn't get a locally branded ident with each junction.

I wasn't just thinking of presentation infrastructure - I was talking about programme-making infrastructure too.

What I was saying in a roundabout sort of way is that people shouldn't conflate a greater emphasis on ITV's regional capability - however welcome that is - with a return to the old ways of doing things.
