I'll be recording the closure - as I've mentioned it earlier in the thread. Arguably closing the channel down at midnight seems to have been strategically decided on as Sky will probably be starting their reshuffle.
That's not bad of an idea, but Sky requires that you need two hours a day of programming to hold down an EPG slot, otherwise that's a no go. Even the BBC were forced to come with compromises for the linear BBC Three channel when it went online, broadcasting programmes from 2am to 4am to hold an EPG slot.
Also, ITV have a terrible track record with their channel closures, so that factors in too.
Listings on SkyHD for the 1st May 2018 indicate that ITV Encore is closing at 11:59pm on Monday. "Channel Off Air".
Can someone please capture the closing and upload to youtube (on the day)?

Surprised really they didn't cease programmes a few days earlier to run a barker promoting the On Demand service.
Do we know what time the great Sky EPG shuffle is taking place - I assume it'll be overnight.

Sky says it will occur on "the morning of 1st May". Previous big changes have got going before 6am; when many channels are screening teleshopping. Nevertheless, I fully anticipate that there will be some Sky users who will get upset when at 00:01, the new channel list isn't fully in place.

If your contactual agreements end at the end of a month, then you don't stay on-air beyond 23:59:59 of the last day...

The plug was actually pulled on PLUS during an ad break. Anyone watching the programme at the time must've been wondering "what the you know what is going on", or words to that effect which cannot be repeated pre watershed, or on here!

Perhaps the scenario here does have some similarities, as ITV Encore's move to on demand is as a result of Sky & ITV's collaboration over the EPG 123 slot coming to an end.
That was all a last minute thing in order to get ITV3 on Sky; ITV bought out Sky's share of Granada Sky Broadcasting.
