Jonathan Dimbleby and Mary Nightingale will present ITV's Election Night Coverage. Analysis will be led by John Sergeant and Dermot Murnaghan. Aparently Mary Nightingales rise in popularity with ITN is seen as a rebuff to Katie Derham who will have a roving reporters role. ITV will also have an interactive text service to complement the on-air coverage.
I remember ITV's feeble attempt at election coverage in 97, and quite pathetic it was too.
Shame Sue Lawley isn't there really.
Expect John Suchet, Nick Owen and Trev at various party HQ's or at points of particular importance, like last time.
Hopefully they will be able to put together a decent studio this time.

Is there any kind of schedule put together yet for the day's programming, because I know that the other networks have not got that done yet, but it is necessary under the ITC rules for Electoral coverage on terrestrial television for some reason!
If anyone can get an inside look at the Network schedules for election day, that would be great

Does anyone have any pictures or WAV clips of this?
I seem to recall that the studio was like from the central atrium of ITV/ITN Headquarters (that big glass building), or am I hallucinating ? Nah we don't want Sue Lawley, Mary will do a good job.
Sue was very good at the last election 'Who are the swingers', classic line there Sue.
It was a horrible studio with a nasty desk and a big audience panel, quite horrible, I have it on a tape somewhere.
