Nice. It's a shame the actual credits are TINY and the ECP background isn't transparent, but overall an improvement.

Let's see if STV/UTV will adapt... next year.

My mistake. At least UTV are on the ball.

The problem with STV's ECP at the moment is the writing going under the logo. It only seems to occur with larger programme titles (eg Millionaire) right enough, but it still looks sloppy.

Yes, if they want to continue ECP promotions. Unless I've missed something obvious, how will their version work with the positioning of the credits?

That's not so nice - I think the background has to stay otherwise it's a big mass of colour just blobbed on the background. It could possibly work if the screen went darker (a black-transparent overlay of some sort - as in those massive in programme promos)


What's the betting on ITV2 that these get squashed and an old-style ECP is used!

Here's UTV's version. Their clean feed of the Emmerdale credits failed mid-way through so we ended up with no credits and the caption overlaid. It then disappeared leaving a black screen with the grey bar at the bottom:

I wonder if UTV will keep with the old-style pre-recorded ECPs during daytime.

Grr at the use of Arial on the new-style UTV ECP, too.
