I think the channels need renaming:
ITV - main channel, a combination of the other three
ITV 2 - entertainment, aimed at younger viewers
ITV Gold - broadcasting classic ITV dramas and the latest imports, aimed at older viewers
KITV - children's channel
ITV News - rolling news channel
Or maybe something cutting edge for ITV2, like ITV-e or something, modern.

tvfreak - Most of those names sound terrible to me. Why not just keep them as they are? Logical and simple, and once people have watched them or seen the trailers and ad's for them, they'll soon get a feel for what type of channel it is.

I think renaming ITV3 to ITV Gold would be good, as long as they did show old programmes from decades ago starting with Classic Corrie.
I would call the kids channel CITV rather than KITV.

Tyne Tees or ITV. Not many people actually call it ITV1 around here.
Frankly no-one I know ever says ITV1. Everyone says 'Channel 3' or 'ITV', probably because the fair majority of us were brought up watching our local ITV Station, but tend to say ITV too, as it was part of a network. Anyone who's probably under the age of 10 would probably say ITV1, as they've grown up with it.
Fantastic thing on the ITV News Channel the other day about texting, a guest in Glasgow had to text Nina Hossain on air, he sent 'Very glad to be on your ITN News Channel', she said she was pleased with the message but corrected him about 'ITN'.

Most people here call it HTV - or occasionally ITV. No-one ever calls it ITV1/ITV Wales/ITV1 Wales.
I doubt many people call it BBC ONE Wales either, 'Did you watch EastEnders last night on BBC ONE Wales?' so maybe they should drop the regional names in the nations

Does this not just read as 'Bring back Granada Plus'?
Exactly, and ITV3 is not really a channel that shows mostly classical programmes, like Granada Plus.
