ITV to ditch yellow and blue identity

ITV is preparing to unveil an entirely new identity later this year, shortly after the company celebrates 50 years since its creation. It will be the broadcaster's fifth identity in the past decade.

Only someone with the brain of a parrot would spell parrot with 2 T's! I mean, come on! It's hardly a difficult word to spell!

OMG, itv has to be the most thick company at branding!
I so fed up with ITV every minute it changes it's identity; I've said it before and i'll say again Channel 4 has a stronger brand.

I would just be repeating what everone else had said if I go on about how surprised I am to hear this news, but i've said it now anyway...

I'm prepared to give ITV one final chance - that would mean that this new look has to be both classy and last for a reasonable length of time.

I think in their 50th Anniversary celebrations, ITV should spend one day each using idents and continuity presentation from eras gone by - then at the end of the celebrations, get the public to vote for which one they would like re-introduced for the next few years....
(and yes, I know it won't happen - just a cool idea I thought....)
