Can't say there is much in the Spring/Summer line up which stands out - and that Karaoke things sounds awful. It's pretty much the third show of it's kind in a year - that one with JK and Joel last year on ITV, Don't Forget the Lyrics which is coming to Sky and now this Fever Pitch - all pretty much the same show, and all pretty much based on a crap premise.

Uninspiring. No wonder Shaps has been let go.

It looks fairly strong considering Spring/Summer is always less impressive than Autumn and Winter. At least there is no major reality series like Love Island planned

I agree, and unlike Channel 4 they arent showing the same reality tv show every summer for years on end.

Also I did enjoy that show with JK and Joel - not the best Saturday night show but it was something different and entertaining.

Looking at the ITV Wales programme statement its interesting to see they are co producing 4 regional programmes with other regions - 2 with Granada and 2 with Central.

Not the best week for ITV1 then (not to make this sound like an anti-ITV post, even though it probably sounds like it);

- Further CITV reductions announced
- Tweaked website launched which still doesn't work properly
- Loss of F1 from 2009

though probably all worth it if they secure the Champions League rights. If they don't though it will be a very bad week indeed, and make ditching the F1 look extremely foolish.

"ITV merges regional management roles":
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/broadcasting/a91984/itv-merges-regional-management-roles.html

There is now only one regional manager in "super-regions":

  • Border and Tyne Tees
  • Granada and Central
  • Yorkshire and Anglia
  • (plus West & Westcountry)

Well, with this announcement I think the channel could re-remould its schedule. Clearly Tuesday is now free for solid programming.

I think we need pad to produce one of his beautifully coloured schedule grids to summarise the suggestions in the above posts Wink

As you asked so nicely:

Changes:
- Corrie gains a Tuesday and Thursday (8.30) episode and loses its Wednesday episode as well as the second Friday episode.
- Tonight brought back to once a week
- News at Ten five nights
- The Bill at 7.30 on Tuesday and Thursday, up against EastEnders.
- Two-hour dramas like Marple, Midsomer premiere Fridays at 8.
- Wednesday is the 'filler day' of the week with one off documentaries, regional shows, and Millionaire.

That was weird, there was just a trailer for a regional programme after Coronation Street. First time I've seen one in prime time for ages

Wales showed one just before we went to Part 2 of Coronation Street as well whilst everyone else had a Pushing Daisies trailer.
