There's a caption on ITV2 this morning saying that Children's programmes have moved to ITV4.

Was that on it all morning then. It would have been better done as an overlay really so it appeared when you turned to the channel, but then vanished after 20-30 seconds or so.

It disappeared during ad breaks, but was on-screen most of the morning. It even appeared over the end credits, so you couldn't really read the credits.

Sadly not, my mate's borrowing my USB stick.

The caption read something like:

Action Stations and Wakey Wakey have moved to ITV4.
Sky Channel ### Freeview ## Virgin Media ###

No bother. Thanks.

11.7m for DOI last night. 12.6m at its peak. Most watched edition of DOI ever. Equalled the final of last years The X Factor, and beat SCD's. Very impressive and the switch to Sunday clearly benefitted the show as I doubt it would have got those figures against a tougher Saturday night schedule on BBC1.

Impressive last night, but when you look at the bigger picture moving it to Sundays hasn't benefited ITV as a whole, leaving a big hole in the Saturday night schedule and only marginally increasing the ratings ITV used to get on Sunday nights for the soaps.

The caption I mentioned earlier has now moved to the top of the screen, which looks a bit better.

Part of me really can't comprehend more than 1/6 of the entire countries population watching DOI, i really cannot.

By your own calculations 5/6 didn't watch it. Do you expect everyone to feel the same way you do?

Wouldn't that be dull?

I would say Dancing on Ice is by far the best of that type of show. It's well produced and isn't anywhere near as exclusive and snobbish as Strictly.

The competition may be real and the quality may be high - but it really comes across as everyone pretty much having fun, where as Strictly is taken far too seriously - while The X Factor is all about the judges.

And he may often be overlooked, but Phillip Schofield surely has to be one of the best TV presenters around at the moment.

P.S. ITV.com finally seem to have realised their on-demand service is **** so will be doing something about it.

According to Broadcast ITV broadcast an average of 4 hours of children's programmes a week last year, compared to 10 hours in 2005 and 8 in 2006.

The current level is just 2.5 hours a week in 2005 - though most weekend I've noticed it's been barely 20-30 minute slots.

And apparently despite the fuss last year, ITV only have a legal responsibility to consider the views of OFCOM - and not actually follow them through, with OFCOM unable to take further action if ITV fall below the recommended quota - as they are clearly doing by more than 50%.

Speaking of ITV.com, is their website having technical problems. The navigation is dept and their is a different video player in use, is anybody getting this?

According to DS The Fixer has lost 1.4m viewers. Last week it was 6.2m for the first episode and this week 4.8m viewers.
