I think there is kind of a knock on effect too with the upcoming batch of new drama sort of being tarnished by the first offerings pretty much flopping.

If the likes of Honest and The Palace had been out and out hits, I think we'd probably be more willing to give Rock Rivals and The Fixer a chance - but as it is we're not expecting very much from them.

Dont see how - they are completely different dramas. I didnt watch Honest, and gave up on the Palace after about episode 5 but im still going to watch both The Fixer and Rock Rivals. Whether I will stay with them to the end depends on what they are like but I will probabaly stick with Rock Rivals as I like trashy dramas like Footballers Wives, and Sean Gallagher is in it!

I have to take back what I said - I didnt realise quite how rubbish Rock Rivals would be so its unlikely I will watch again next week, Sean Gallagher in it or not!

I did enjoy the first 2 episodes of Dexter though - its a shame that this is stuck in a 10.35pm slot (11.35pm on ITV Wales) whilst rubbish like Rock Rivals gets a 9pm slot.

Remember, though, that Dexter is quite graphic in some of its scenes. I agree, though, that it's miles better than Rock Rivals .

Though I agree it's easily the best thing on ITV in the week, I'm struggling to get into Dexter as much as I thought I would - it's pretty slow and a bit too reliant on the narrative, which in the first episode or two may give a brilliant incite into the main character, but I think it'll become pretty repetitive pretty quickly.

It does get better, believe me. It does take a few episodes to pick up the pace, admittedly, but it does get better. Stick with it.

Yeah, I found Dexter a slow burner too but it is well worth sticking with. It's a long way off if you're going at ITV's pace but the show really hits it's stride in the 2nd series.

I see M/W, Echo Beach and Al Murray finish next Friday, what will replace them Pushing Daisies? I wonder if the news will be moved to 10pm..

Well having only watched the first 2 episodes of Dexter I thought they were excellent and cant wait for the rest of the series.

Well rumour has it Benidorm and Mr and Mrs could take some of these slots but nothing is confirmed of course yet.

I'm finding people starting to talk about Moving Wallpaper now. Good, it deserves all the attention it gets. Excellent programme, if not badly scheduled. Razz

Pushing Daises seems to have been promoted for weeks but doesn't look to be in the schedules till after Easter at the earliest.

There should effectively be a completely new weekend line-up in the next few weeks with practically all shows from Moving Wallpaper through to Lewis coming to the end of it's run.

Duel was good tonight, but completely spoiled by ITV promoting the fact the player reached his final question. However, considering they've recommissioned Moving Wallpaper I hope Duel gets a second chance, perhaps in that Tuesday night slot during the summer if Millionaire takes a break.

They have had teasers running but havent shown any proper trailers with scenes from the show yet. I expect we will get at least 2 weeks of these trailers before it starts.

It will be interesting to see what will fill the weekends. The autumn/winter are generally strong, but they then seem to have no strong shows that appear through the rest of the year, I can't even think what they aired last year through the late spring and summer.

And as for Duel tonight, as a fan it was completely spoilt. As much as I'm glad somebody's won, it's such a shame that they had to ruin the show for everybody who has been watching just to capture extra audiences, I just hope that it's worked.
