That's kind of the problem though isn't it?

To be fair though it's probably got a better chance as it doesn't appear to take itself too seriously, unlike The Palace which really did think it could be a British West Wing.

As with everyone else - I do believe that the challenge of the new programmes were a success but just badly scheduled. Using both the new programmes coming soon and some of the ones since January, I believe the ITV schedule should have looked liked (24/7 btw)

and STV and UTV would of course either have to move the show 5pm or

Monday - Friday
5.30pm ITN
6pm mag show
6.30pm News
7pm emmerdale

with the extra going to Sundays and the game show being dumped out of the window form Monday and Friday, there might get placed on a weekday at 4.30pm

as much I hate to say this 6.30 news has to stay!

A classic rose-tinted schedule there.

Firstly, ITV have learnt their lessons from News at Ten and won't be moving the Evening News - and certainly wouldn't move it into the increasingly important 5pm hour.

And secondly, primetime gameshows every night - no way. Most of the crap you mention wouldn't cut it today, as recent revivals have shown, while ITV (and other channels) aren't having much luck with new gameshows either. Goldenballs is probably the exception, but it's quite a modest hit.

some Gameshow would cut it!

I believe a good version of Wheel of fortunes, Strike it rich and Catchphrase could work. If there make it like price is right it will hit wall and be dumped straight away, also Supermarket sweep was daytime.

If there made it like a bit of class, then it has a frighting change. and could gain popularity again.

also strange that the 5.40 news never come back

We're not living in 1995 anymore folks, come on.

I'd love Catchphrase to return to Friday nights (minus Nick Weir) but its not going to happen.

I still think Non Camped up gameshows will work.

And Honest, which Amanda Redman actually described as "the British Sopranos". They've also got another cop show in production which they say is a "British version of The Wire". Rolling Eyes Grand delusions.

There's a quote from Simon Cowell in The Sun today saying he's glad he'll be in America when Rock Rivals starts because he's seen it and had to watch through his fingers because it's "so awful".

With regards to Thank God You're Here, I don't think it was as good a series as I imagined. I'd be surprised if there was a second series.

Instead, why not try a British version of Drew Carey's Green Screen Show - here's a YouTube link to show you an example of it, I think it could work here. - click

Without looking at the clip, am I right in guessing it's based on the Newsflash game from Whose Line Is It Anyway ? I wouldn't be surprised, and Carey has hosted Whose Line before.

That said, I think Thank God You're Here worked out better than I would have expected. It did have its weak points, but overall it was a good series.

Looks like from soon, the 9pm slot will go:

Sunday - Lewis
Monday - The Fixer
Tuesday - Cops with Cameras (unsure if it's a new series or one-off)
Wednesday - Rock Rivals
Thursday - Trial and Retribution
Friday - Moving Wallpaper / Echo Beach (then Pushing Daisies?)
