It is a bit late, but it does tend to float around the evening and during things like The X Factor has aired around 8pm.

It's the FA Cup which will be pushing back the schedule slightly - they won't air Primeval until BBC1 are finished with the football.

The next week though Ant and Dec are (provisionally) scheduled at 6.30pm with Primeval at 7.45pm.

Primeval will be coming to an end in a few weeks so I wonder what will replace it?

Well I think Ant and Dec are effectively replacing it as they only over lap for two weeks, so that'll end up around 7pm followed by Duel, if ITV haven't pulled it. Any idea what replaces Thank God You're Here?

Talking of Duel, if no one has won the jackpot yet in the shows recorded so far considering the ratings would it be worth ITV pulling it even if it's just to save them the risk of paying out a few hundred thousands pound.

Why would they pull it, it's a perfectly good format

I agree it's a perfectly good format (best new game show in a long time infact), but the trouble is nobody is watching it.

Lewis is being promoted at the moment so I guess that'll take the 9pm slot on Sundays when Kingdom finishes. I think though they need to be a little bit less predictable and shake up their weekend schedule to give some shows a chance in a new slot.

I'd start with Lewis on Fridays at 9pm, move Al Murray to Saturdays around about 10pm and then rejig the Sunday night line up so it's something like:

6.30 Dancing on Ice
7.30 Duel
8.30 Wild at Heart
9.30 Dancing on Ice
10.00 Moving Wallpaper/Echo Beach

That's the only way Duel has any chance of finding an audience IMO, putting it on after Dancing on Ice. Though admittedly that idea is probably more about saving Duel than saving ITV, and I think ITV are quite happy to cut their losses and run.

What I hope doesn't happen is that they give Duel a second chance, but in the process completely revamp it - that would be doomed to failure.

As I said in the Duel thread the only thing that I think would benifit the format is to use the £10,000/10% as a milestone, so that at least take home that amount whether they win or lose in the next duel, it's just something to get people to carry on.

Surely the thing that is effecting Al Murray's audience is that it is on at the same time as Jonathan Ross. When Ross is off air and BBC1 use that slot for a film, ITV1 should be able to cash in on the friday night chat show slot.

The ratings for Murray and Dame Edna, and indeed Parkinson were all poor on Saturday nights so it's not surprising they've moved it to Fridays

When is Ross off air by the way?

Never it seems. As soon as a series ends a new series of Friday Night begins within the next week or so.

10.35pm every Friday night on BBC1 Ross is there, tightening his tie, wiping his brow....that "smarmy" joke is very boring now.

He's on until June. The series was extended which means he's only off-air over the Summer, Christmas and for the charity telethons.

It depends what audience they're aiming at, but I think something like TV Burp and CGI:UK paired together one night in the week in the 8pm hour would bring amuch welcome change to the ITV weekday schedule.
