How long has Men and Motors been showing ITV Nightscreen for?

Quite a few years at least.

I think Duel would get bigger ratings if it aired Tuesdays at 8pm, with Millionaire on Saturday.

I would prefer an American drama in the 10:40 slot rather than repeats of; Honest, The Palace and MW / Echo Beach. I now think News at Ten would benefit if it was five nights a week. Gaining audiences, and keeping them.

Has the Al Murray's Happy Hour been getting lower or higher ratings in the Friday night slot compared to Saturday?

Edit: I'm suprised at the lack of sponsors for Moving Wallpaper, Echo Beach and Honest.

More blood squeezed out of Corrie? I reckon it'll return to Sunday nights before long.

But of course Michael Grade is still living in 1986.

Must be an alternate version of 1986 without proper regions or proper pres then

Sunday nights seem to be doing excellently at the moment so that won't be their main concern. Saturday night definitely needs strengthening - but of the course the main thing they need is better dramas. The Palace just doesn't cut it and Moving Wallpaper, whilst very good, is undermined by the below par Echo Beach.

Personally I look at programmes like Messiah and Torchwood, and wonder why ITV aren't making offerings to please all.

Is it me who only seems to see that ITV commission crime and/or housewives dramas to give it a term.
I'm not interested in The Palace, or Honest. I saw Primeval and liked that, and it shownt something different commissioned, as did Secret Diary for ITV2, so why do they try and play it safe (even though it's not as safe as sticking to David Jason or Caroline Quentin), when they aren't achieving the figures?

To me Moving Wallpaper is a great programme in itself, though has been said lacks the backing of Echo Beach. Which brings the point of should they have made Echo Beach, or should they have made rubbishy fake bits to include in Moving Wallpaper?
Saying that with work the soap could work, most probably more on ITV2, but it could work all the same.

Even though it's 10 years old I still found myself watching Millionaire last night, now surely that's because it's a bit of variety not seen on ITV1 much in the weekday primetime slot.

It seemed like a good plan, News At Ten would be getting better figures without a commercial break between it and the previous programme, and having strong programmes to back it up.
Maybe they should try something sci-fi, some darker programmes, things that aren't just written by one person so that they can make longer series and return them the following year. I don't personally see that they have much to lose at the moment.

More stupid scheduling on Saturday night.

At 11.05pm ITV think it's better to put a film on, and then break for the news at 11.45pm - rather than getting the news on air at 11.05pm and then running the film in one showing.

It pisses off both the people who want to watch the film, and also anyone wanting to watch the news! So stupid!

Yes, although it was The Sun who said it was coming back in the first place, so they've got two 'exclusive' stories out of a simple situation of a series not being commissioned for a second series

So after his 5pm game show fails as well do we think they'll opt for the Corrie spin-off instead!

Well, if it gets him off the main show I think it'll be quite welcome!
