they really need to just stop utv messing up their secheduals, the 5 0 clock show is non-existant because of the (crap) utv live and to be honest all regional programming on BBC and UTV is really drab and depressing, it dosent show the true vibrant NI we live in nowadays

well STV is about to do the same from 28th! with the New 5.30 show.

all there doing is killing off WUWH: having balls on at 4.30 - 5.30pm

I hope ITV will see sense soon and move Trial and Retribution to Friday nights, with MW / Echo Beach on Thursdays. I think that would work better. As the shows would get bigger ratings on those nights, because of their target audiences.

A bad night for ITV then - Honest lost a quarter of it's audience, down to 4.3m - while News at Ten was down to 2.6m, 2.1m behind the BBC.

I wonder if they have a "Plan B"?

Not surprised about Honest. From what little I saw it was poor IMO.

Other dramas such as The Palace are much better.

Interesting that The Royal Today has dropped in the ratings too. Didnt it get 2 million for the first episode?

God - if The Palace is much better than Honest, I dread to think how bad that is.

I've had the misfortune of catching a few minutes of The Royal Today - they were right when they said it made Crossroads look like award winning stuff.

I did watch The Palace. It wasn't excellent.

City of Vice on the other hand on C4 was outstanding in comparison - really wasn't expecting to get into that but it was well written, well acted and well made.

Dancing on Ice hasn't totally left Saturdays then, there is a spin-off show staring at 20:30 on Sat 26th January on ITV1.

Attendances at British ice rinks have increased and it’s rapidly becoming one of the nation’s favourite pastimes. Dancing On Ice: Make Me A Star offers the unique prize of an opportunity to perform at the 2009 Dancing On Ice Final in front of an audience of millions.

Tonight the competition will be launched and the search will start to test the nation’s skating talent. Not only do you need to know your inside edge from your outside edge, and your pirouette from your triple axle, but you’ll also be a great performer.

Only those that are most dedicated, skilful and entertaining will make the grade and be in with a chance to win this unique prize.

Hosted by Holly Willoughby, Dancing On Ice: Make Me A Star will also act as a curtain raiser to that Sunday night’s Dancing On Ice. It will give an exclusive preview to the following day’s show, offer unique behind the scenes access to the rehearsals and will track all the thrills and spills of that week’s preparations for the glitziest, most glamorous and most popular entertainment show on television.

Seems to have been hurried in to bolster the schedule a bit perhaps ?
