Tue 22nd Jan.
It's good to see Harry Hills TV Burp gets a Tuesday night repeat, at 10.35pm, that's earlier than the previous Thursday showings.
New series, Pulling Power, it's a motoring magazine, from 12.35-12.55am. Its good to see ITV1 are making shows for overnight, alongside Night Watch.
Emmerdale is being titled as 'Emmerdale: Thicker Than Water' on that night, although on other nights its just Emmerdale. I don't like that idea, but I assume its because Tuesday '1 hour special' as ITV1 seem to call it.

Both are Central Productions of course.
Well at least I think Night Watch is.
Pulling Power has been going on for about 15 years if people outside Central don't know and it has been Networked before on some occasions.

I thought that sounded alright Phil saying Heartbeat was next. But I was surprised that there was no commercial break!
Not sure whether Heartbeat is the right programme to follow the Dancing on Ice spectacular!

Smart move of ITV to go straight into Heartbeat from Dancing on Ice.
Therefore people will probably watch ITV1, instead of turning over during the adverts - loosing ITV1 viewers.
It just didn't sound right Phil saying 'stay tuned for Heartbeat' at the end of Dancing on Ice..

I hope that ITV realise how beneficial it can be to go straight into ident into programme.
Is there any ofcom rule that says that they have to go to adverts at the end of so many programmes, or can they just air a couple more adverts within every break during the programmes?
It's only for one week as Wild At Heart is on next weekend, which is a bit better than heartbeat, but you'd usually expect some more entertainment. This is why I don't understand ITV2, I'd have expected them to have a Dancing On Ice : Defrosted just to try and hang onto the viewers that they will lose through heartbeat. Either that or something entertaining to fill an hour before sending viewers back to ITV1 and airing a film.

They axed both Exclusive & Defrosted, rumours say Grade doesn't like DOI. I agree it would have been better with the ITV2 filler though.
It was good of Phil to say it was on next and all but DOI and Heartbeat are very different.
I think their may be no break at the end of the 60 minute dramas or at least on Monday, meaning viewers will be still tuned into ITV1 for the News at Ten.
I wonder if the lower 1/4 scrolling credits will be used on DOI, as they were used on Al Murray. Not sure on Thank God You're Here though.
