It's fair enough that they're not bothering if the BBC pummel them in the ratings, but surely Channel 4 don't expect much of an audience, and they're putting on a fairly decent show.

Nope, still Chritmas pres on both ITV1 and BBC1 today.
In previous years hasn't normal pres resumed on 1st Jan? So why not this year?

It varies. Not sure about ITV, but BBC One pres tends to run until the conclusion of the festive programme of, er, programmes. Both The Princess and the Frog and Up! premiere this afternoon (and have their own sparkly curtains too). BBC2 likewise.
But it has finished on or before New Years Day in recent years; didn't the Helicopter ident (mini-epic cut) launch on a 1st Jan? (*realises that was 5 years ago* *drinks*)

Did anyone mention that The London Studios have been put up for sale by its landlord?

Interesting that it says that ITV are believed to have looked at three other sites in London but I can't really see them leaving given how busy the studios currently are and how long they've got left on that lease!

I'm sure somewhere ive read about ITV buying some studios within the Olympic Park and using those, but I couldn't see them doing that if they have 56 years left on lease at TLS.
